Hills... ouch

My week has been a little thrown off. I did run Monday morning, then I was planning to run Tuesday morning but it was raining. Tuesday I drove to Missouri and knew I was going to have to pick up the slack and get some running days in while I was visiting family. Well Wednesday morning I was exhausted and slept in til 9 o'clock WOO HOO! So this morning I knew I had to get out and tackle a run. I mapped out my 3 mile trail last night on google maps and had an idea of where I wanted to go.

This morning I woke up, looked outside, it was dry so I got all ready to go and let Harpo out to do his thing while I put in my contacts. I got my contacts in and heard Harpo yelping - which was odd. Then I looked outside and it was POURING! It only lasted a little bit. I went ahead and fed Harpo hoping maybe it would pass.  It soon did and the rain stopped, so we went ahead and headed out hoping it didn't pour on us mid run.

We made it all the way around - they don't call it Fremont Hills for nothing! Yikes, my calves were/are burning!  A lot different than running around a flat lake! But it's a good ouch!

We made it back home to find my brother on the back porch and I took my headphones off to hear the tornado siren.  I hopped in the shower and came out to see everyone downstairs (the girls were woken up) and were watching the weather on the TV. It passed us and wasn't really anything at all, just a few showers.
