Yesterday I FINALLY worked out!!! (other than running) It has been quite a long time since I actually did a work out. And boy could I feel it when I stepped out of bed this morning! I just did one of the Jillian Michael's DVD workouts I have. I have really noticed my pants starting to get tighter... okay not starting - they ARE tighter, I have a whole side of my closet that has pants that I can't really fit in anymore. I've been good with cardio all summer... but that really just doesn't cut it with me. I do best when I am building muscle. And from what I've read - that is what helps, muscle burns more than fat and having a muscle filled body is what keeps me toned and able to fit in my clothes, lol. It's just a matter of getting back into the habit of lifting and doing strength training.
I was sweatin pretty hard yesterday! I couldn't believe how hard the work out was and my average HR was only in the 140s! I'm used to running and keeping my heart rate around 170... but this workout felt much harder than a run.

October 6th; Tuesday. I ran the 5K loop around our house. I brought Harpo with me and I was hoping to make a good time. But I guess the increase of speed caused harpo's belly to move around a bit because he ended up having to stop and poop which did NOT help our time, lol.
