I ran again!
YES!!
It's amazing how just that little run I did on Saturday - made for a much smoother go today. I took Harpo with me... boy did he need that :-) He'll rest well tonight.
But the big difference was in how my heart felt, my lungs felt and I have numbers to prove it.
Every time I work out I wear a HRM (heart rate monitor) I love it! It knows my age, weight, height and tracks the time I work out, my heart rate, and the best part - how many calories I've burned!
Here is the readout from Saturday (the first run in a looonnnnggg time)
20min 20 seconds
205 Calories
Avg HR 165
Max HR 195
And the read out from today
21min 18 seconds
163 Calories
Avg HR 136
Max HR 184
If you're not sure what the jumble of numbers means... it means my heart is already happy with me :-) it's already healthier after just one run at it!
Now my goal is to just keep it up. It's 20 minutes.... ONLY twenty minutes! I can do it, I can do it!
